About You
Had a good level of work to keep me busy and plenty of social activities. I enjoyed the scheme.
The firm was very welcoming and engaging and feedback about work done was good. I felt they genuinely tried to involve me in what was happening within the department.
There was lots of information about the firm and its different sectors and then support was given as it was needed with work.
The experience of the vacation scheme will certainly be useful when starting a training contract.
The Company
Structure was adequate and well communicated. Everything ran smoothly.
Very friendly, very open. Engaging.
There wasn't much specific training, it was more practical and help was given as needed.
There is nothing like a vacation scheme to truly understand what it might be like to work at the phone full time. I don't know any firms as well as I do Taylor Wessing.
From my past encounters with the firm I expected Taylor Wessing to have a positive culture and my experience backed this up.
The scheme formed a large part of my decision on which Training Contract to accept.
Everything Else
Paid.
There was the opportunity to meet fee earners in each department, as well as trainees from across the firm.
The social events were well organised and fun.
If anyone is interested in a career in Commercial Law, I would recommend considering Taylor Wessing and there is no better way to get to know the firm than by gaining a place on the vacation scheme. As with most firms, it is also an excellent way to get a Training Contract.
