The Role
I had a fantastic time. I learned a lot from the job role but there were quite a few events for the interns that were fantastic fun too.
My colleagues gave me responsibility from the get go but never more than I could handle. They also made sure to include me if there was anything they thought I would find interesting.
My buddy was fantastic as was my people manager.
I always had enough work to do and they left my last week free so I could get everything finished. I was in ta so I did have to juggle different types of work from different clients.
I was given responsibility to just get on with what ever task I was given but still had support in place. The only issue I had was that if I was given work by someone more senior, I couldn't always get time with them if I had questions.
First week was all training which helped me settle in but it was the office environment and how much the work differs from uni studies that will help in the future,
The Company
Brilliant atmosphere. Everyone in tax was brilliant and ta is relatively small (about 60 people) compared to audit so you eventually know everyone.
Every week I was assigned to a different area f ta and everyone had already put work aside for me.
3 days in birmingham followed by 2 days of office training in the first week. There is a development day halfway through and then a day in London at the end to talk to us more about the future. Overall, they invested a lot.

I commuted from Perth but I know that Edinburgh is pretty good.
