The Role
The work was varied and engaging. I expected to be doing mundane admin tasks but the team welcomed me and provided challenging tasks with lots of assistance when I required it.
Everyone I worked with was incredibly kind and supportive. They were keen to engage with me both professionally and socially which made me very comfortable in the work place.
The amount of support was overwhelming. From day one we were told they had no expectation of prior knowledge and no question was a stupid question. Management and guidance was provided throughout by individuals of all grades.
Due to the challenging nature of the work and the time pressure days were very busy and overtime was common. That said, I never felt overworked.
We were given a lot of responsibility when we requested and showed an aptitude for it. It was always positive though and I never felt alone in a task I didn't understand.
The main skills that will benefit me outside the work place are networking, client relations and critical analysis.
The Company
There were always done moments were things were slow and it was a little full, but the team based nature of the work meant there was always someone to talk to and the atmosphere was generally always positive.
From start to finish we were looked after by a team of dedicated internship organisers.
They invested an awful lot. The opportunities they provided us as interns were really good! Networking events, socials, an induction stay in a hotel etc.

They really like to keep on interns who shore promise, since they have invested in you and the process to get on the internship is the same as that of the graduate role so they know you have the competencies.
The Culture
Tons of social events, fun things organised every Friday by various teams. Everyone in the office seemed to get along well.
The north is a relatively well priced area of the country.
Leeds had very good nightlife.
It depended on what your interests were. There were always social events and I know an intern who played in a football match of pwc vs the client.
