The Role
I found the whole process enjoyable and a great insight into the firm as a whole and specifically the audit service line. I was able to meet a range of new people and build professional relationships. I was always made to feel valued in the teams I worked in and I felt I made a contribution to the company.
I felt very much involved and valued by my colleagues on the various teams i worked with. Whether this be in an audit team or others, I was always asked for my opinion and this motivated me to produce a higher level of work.
Those who were assigned to supervise and coach me through the internship were all extremely helpful and always approachable. Especially within the audit teams, I was given regular advice to ensure I was on track. There was also the buddy scheme which allowed us to communicate with an employee who had been in a similar position to ourselves and I was able to ask them less work related questions.
Generally there was always something to be working on but there were times when I was in between jobs or had maybe finished a list of tasks when I found myself looking for things to do. This being said, there were compliance and training tasks to be completed in this time or other things to help out with in the office.
Within one team especially, I was assigned a job on which I was solely responsible as to how a certain document should be presented and I reported directly to a partner in order to gain feedback as to how I was doing.
I was able to develop my communication and networking skills within the office environment and I feel these skills will be extremely useful for me in later life and during my studies as well.
The Company
The atmosphere in the office was friendly and welcoming. There was always a good team spirit and I was invited to lunch with them on a regular basis.
I felt the PwC scheme was really well organized and that we were able to fit right into the company as employees. The internship gave me a great amount of insight and I felt I made a valid contribution within the teams I was assigned to.
It was clear that a lot of time and effort had been put into the scheme and I certainly felt as though PwC had invested in me as an individual which motivated me to perform to a high level. I was given plenty of advice and training from my people manager who ensured I was on track at all times and keeping to my objectives.

I think PwC is a fantastic company to work for due to its values and the way it is structured. I was offered the graduate role and I am grateful for the opportunity.
The Culture
All the interns from the office were friendly with each other and went out on a regular basis.
Being in the Central London office, it would be expected to be relatively more expensive than other areas.
The Central London office is well located and most places are easily accessible.
There were plenty of events and sports groups to take advantage of and generally they were quite close by and another way to meet new people.
