The Role
Thoroughly enjoyed it, the people and opportunities given to us made it a great place to work
Very valued by colleagues as they requested me personally to stay with the team for that week rather than swapping with another intern. Nearly always had things for me to be doing which they actually needed doing so I felt like i was actually helping.
Lots of support was given via a 'buddy' who was a graduate and also a people manager to help us through the intership
Most days I was very busy with lots of things to do from lots of people. Only occasionally (two or three days) there was less work with an hour or two in the day having to ask around for jobs which needed doing.
The responsibility given was more than I expected an intern would be given, giving a great insight to what we would actually be doing with a career with them
I think the skills were highly valuable, with the training enabling help in this career and also networking skills with a range of different people will be an invaluable skill for life
The Company
Friendly and inclusive of everyone, whilst also being an environment that I could concentrate and work in
The work placement was organised well in the fact that they gave us a buddy, people manager, different clients to work on. Although I did only have one client the whole time , which meant I did get to cover things in more depth but also didn't allow me to network as much and have an insight into different areas
Lots of training was provided in many different aspects, which will be useful for working for the firm and also in everyday life
Flexi Time
Company Parties/Events
Very appealing as there was a lovely atmosphere and great people to work with along with morales of the firm
The Culture
A very good social scene was established between other interns and other colleagues, there were lots of drinks and after work occasions which we were invited to attend which was a great opportunity to meet people who worked in the firm. Socialising with other placement students was organised by ourselves.
The cost of living and socialising was as can be expected from London, it was not cheap but it did not stop us from socialising
The nightlife was good when we knew where to go out, as London is such a big place it is hard to know where to go, but fellow interns and colleagues told us the best places to go and so it was good.
There was socialising activities and drinks with colleagues arranged.
