The Role
I had a great time at PwC. The people were very friendly, the work was interesting and the internship was very well structured. Very impressed overall.
I was treated as a full member of the team. In fact, I was given an opportunity to manage my own project and present my findings to partners and directors of the firm towards the end of my internship.
My manager was always available when I needed assistance. The directors and partners were very supportive of the things I did as well.
Some days were longer than others, and it was a personal choice because the work was genuinely interesting. I had very flexible working hours, as long as I get the work done.
I was given the opportunity to manage my own project and be creative about the direction I'd like to push forward. I was also encouraged to shadow different projects to learn about various other businesses.
I was exposed to a lot of softwares and best practices currently used in the industry. The internship was structured in such a way that it focuses on your own development as an individual. I believe the soft skills I gained will help me a lot in my future career as well.
The Company
There wasn't much going on in the office, except a monthly eat out and beer afternoons. People are very passionate about what they do and very approachable.
Everything was very well organised, ranging from the initial trainings to various intern activities.
At the end of my internship, my manager focused on evaluating how much I have grown as a professional, rather than what I thought about the work. PwC invests a lot on its employees, evident from the various training events and the golf club induction, and I was really impressed.

The Culture
Very little, considering there were only one other intern in my line of service.
London is expensive in general, especially accommodation. A lot of people choose to commute from Brighton, Luton etc. There are reasonably priced pubs and restaurants around as well.
Nightlife in London is pretty vibrant, and is up to the individual
The internship structure involves several socialising and team building activities which I thoroughly enjoyed
