The Role
Enjoyed a 6 week internship in Tax. Would definitely recommend it.
I felt valued and made a contribution. However, as I am not qualified, the tasks I could do were limited which is understandable.
Allocated a people manager and a buddy. Resourcers are also there to support you. Very friendly and always there to help and answer any questions.
Some days I was busy but other days I didn't have much on due to the nature of the work. Find the initiative to ask colleagues if they need any help or due some online training.
Was given adequate responsibility.
Great experience, definitely looks good on your CV and gives you a lot to talk about in interviews.
The Company
People were generally friendly
Well organised from induction to end.
Some online training available. Some interns were allowed to shadow a senior colleague for a day which would be beneficial.
Company Parties/Events
Received a job offer on my last day and happy to accept.
The Culture
As the internship was only 6 weeks, didn't do too much but people did organise a few things.
Average for London (expensive!). Rent £700 a month. I could walk to work so saved on transport costs.
A few bars around but not great
Not that I was aware of
