    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Enjoyed a 6 week internship in Tax. Would definitely recommend it.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I felt valued and made a contribution. However, as I am not qualified, the tasks I could do were limited which is understandable.

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Allocated a people manager and a buddy. Resourcers are also there to support you. Very friendly and always there to help and answer any questions.

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Some days I was busy but other days I didn't have much on due to the nature of the work. Find the initiative to ask colleagues if they need any help or due some online training.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Was given adequate responsibility.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Great experience, definitely looks good on your CV and gives you a lot to talk about in interviews.

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?

  • Well organised from induction to end.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Some online training available. Some interns were allowed to shadow a senior colleague for a day which would be beneficial.

    4/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Company Parties/Events

    3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Received a job offer on my last day and happy to accept.

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • As the internship was only 6 weeks, didn't do too much but people did organise a few things.

    3/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Average for London (expensive!). Rent £700 a month. I could walk to work so saved on transport costs.

  • A few bars around but not great

    2/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
