The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my work at the firm as it was both challenging and rewarding. The wide variety of tasks allowed me an insight into the different tasks trainee's would undertake.
I was made to feel like part of the team by being invited to team meetings.
Whilst my mentor was a current trainee, in both departments the senior partner introduced themselves to me and took time at the end of my week to give me feedback on my time in their department.
I was given tasks to complete on my own, to use my own initiative and then a solicitor would run through the document explaining the areas that were incorrect and why as well as the parts that were good.
The Company
There were many social activities to introduce us to the firm and the trainees. We were even invited to the firm's Summer party.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
The Culture
I still keep in contact with many of the students who were on my Vac Scheme
The offices are located near Tower Bridge which makes the surrounding area fairly expensive but the law firm provided subsistence for the week and social events most evenings.
The offices are located on St Katherine's Docks which has many bars underneath.
