The Role
The internship was very enjoyable, a great insight into the day to day business of the company.
I felt very valued, in each team I was assigned to everyone was very willing to help and was willing to give tasks that associates would carry out.
There was a big support network, firstly there was the people manager who was ready to help. Also the incharge of each project took on a coaching role to make sure that I understood all of the tasks I was allocated.
I was busy everyday with lots of work to do
I was given the same responsibility as an associate would be given. I was required to do testing and some analysis.
The skills I was equipped with will enhance my abilities to become a more efficient worker in the future
The Company
The atmosphere was very relaxed and friendly.
The placement was very organised. Each element of the internship was well coordinated.
There was a lot invested in training and development, we had to set objectives that we had to meet by the end of the internship. Also there was a 3 day residential to prepare us for the work we were set to do.
Company Parties/Events
They are quite appealing, once in the company there is scope to move around departments.
The Culture
There was a very good social scene. Every so often, there was a social event and at the end of the month there were drinks after work
The cost of living was reasonable
Quite a lot of clubs in the area
There were social groups that met every so often
