The Role
I really enjoyed the work and liked the people I was working with.
I was given real work to do, so I really felt like I was making a valuable contribution to the company. I was also made to feel like a part of the office.
Everyone was happy to take the time out to give me assistance when I asked for it. My supervisor was usually busy but whenever he could he would sit down with me to make sure I understood different concepts.
It ranged. Sometimes work was scarce and other times I was busy throughout the whole day. It depended on the project and the stage of the project.
I believe I was given graduate level work.
Having already left the placement and being back at university for my final year, I can already see how the placement has helped me. It has definitely assisted me in certain modules as I had been practicing them through the placement and it has also boosted my confidence. Further it has helped me to out what I am learning in context.
The Company
Friendly and welcoming
It was not strictly set up as this was the first time in a while that they had taking in year placement students but it was fairly well organized.
My development objectives we went through with me and they did try to make sure as many as possible were ticked off by the end of the placement.
