The Role
Overall, it was an enjoyable experience. The work was not very interesting to begin with, but this soon changed for the better as the placement progressed.
I was given important roles within the company and after work activities helped reinforce this.
I had constant support throughout the placement from both management and my colleagues.
On some occasions I had very little work, however on other days I was very busy.
I was given many responsibilities whilst on my placement including organizing the Site Visits for the Lead Design Organisation. The work I was doing had a direct impact on the rest of the team.
The experience taught me a lot about the industry as a whole. I also was given the opportunity to develop specialist knowledge in design, which is something I will be able to take back to university with me.
The Company
Everyone was very friendly, the atmosphere was relaxed and great for working.
It was a well organised placement with several induction sessions and support.
Towards the end of my placement I was given the opportunity to work with the senior engineers which was excellent for my development.
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
I believe that the future prospects within the organisation are very good,
The Culture
The company offered several sport activities each week. During my time with the company I was also invited to the office summer party.
The cost of living depends greatly on the area.
I was too busy working to find out.
There were lots of opportunities to get involved in sports and other activities outside of work.
