The Role
it was a good job and its something i'm thinking about doing after i come out of university and so it was useful and enjoyable.
it was a friendly environment and i felt i was doing actual useful work in the company.
i was given a lot of support where necessary but also trusted enough to complete work on my own which was also nice.
it depended on the work that needed doing but most days i was kept very busy
quite a lot though as we were working for big clients all my worked was reviewed but i was more then happy for that to happen
the work was a little different from my studies but it kept me writing reports and helped me with deciding what sort of area of work i would like to go after uni
The Company
it was quite a serious office and though everyone got on most of the time people kept their head down and were working
pretty well in the department i was in though it took a little while for it to be approved through human resources
i accompanied other workers on site and ive learnt about how to use mapping software and how company reports are written/assembled
good, its a good company with friendly people, but im not sure whether an office will suit me in the future and i may look for something more practical
The Culture
i barely new them but there were no other placement students in my department and so we never really saw each other
it was central leeds and so a little expensive but nothing compared to other places in the country. as i lived at home i commuted in which could get expensive but as i lived at hoe it kept down the living costs
i didn't really experience it so i couldn't really say
there were a few
