The Role
It was a great insight into the industry and really exciting to be allowed to work on real projects. Most of the work was interesting and challenging.
Everyone was very friendly, by the end of the placement I felt a bit more like I belonged there.
Everyone was very happy to help and advise me on both the work I was doing and future careers. I really felt I could ask for help.
It varied, depending on the projects they had going. Most of the time I had plenty to do but the was a week in the middle when there wasn't much work.
I was given the responsibility of working on real projects and writing documents that (after being checked!) would eventually go to the client. It was great to be trusted with this.
I learnt a lot about technical writing. This is a very different style to university and will certainly be something that will help me in the future.
The Company
Very friendly. People worked hard but it didn't feel to serious or pressured.
Very well organised.
Collegues made the effort to ensure that I knew and fully understood the industry and work they were doing.
It is definitely somewhere I would enjoy working.
The Culture
There was a good vibe amongst the graduates, who went for lunch every friday.
I commuted from London so cost of living and socialising is fairly high. However it is a great place to live.
Great, but expensive.
Not that I came across, but I was only there for 7 weeks.
