The Role
I was involved in a big £33m project from the day I arrived and learned so much that you can't learn at university. Very enjoyable.
Everyone was very helpful. A lot of what I learnt was just from listening to and joining in with conversations about projects and industry matters in general.
I was given guidance but also left to work independently too.
I was given plenty to do.
At times it felt like I was being given too much responsibility, but as all the work I did was to be checked by others it never really stressed me.
Since returning to uni, all the project work seems a lot easier after seeing how things are done in industry.
The Company
Most people seemed to enjoy their work, it was never too dull.
Due to the amount of work that there was, that remained top priority. Which I preferred anyway, I'd rather do the work than fill in forms about H&S and the like.
There was CPD events running and guidance about how to record the work I did to put towards becoming chartered.

The Culture
Everyone got on but there wasn't much outside work contact due to the varying distances and directions people lived.
