The Role
Very enjoyable and learnt a lot!
Definitely felt valued, but being an intern, I couldn't contribute much to the actual work of the desk.
A great extent - always trying to help me to learn and giving advice.
Extremely busy!! First couple of weeks was the opposite though. But once you feel more settled in and you show you're eager to learn - the work doesn't stop!
Given a lot of work - definitely. But nothing too important. Or if it was, it would be double checked/modified by someone afterwards.
Given that I study Medicine, definitely not in the rest of my degree but certainly in my career (in this sector).
The Company
Lively but hard-working.
Pretty well organised. We were given a timetable of events by HR. There could have been more on the timetable though.
Extremely heavily as most banks in this sector do. Never mind what we were paid, do you know how much a bloomberg terminal costs?!
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Gave me a job!
The Culture
Yeah. If you could time and organise something between yourselves.
Central London so pretty damn expensive. But you get paid handsomely too so not too bad overall.
Good I guess... Full of bankers (and other city workers) in the evenings but didn't actually go to any clubs in that particular area in the night so wouldn't know
Not really to be honest. I.e. nothing really organised by the firm
