The Role
I learnt a lot during my time and was able to develop a lot of personal and business skills
All the colleagues made me feel welcome, and it was easy to settle into a new working environment
Given the trust to manage projects on my own, with the manager willing to support whenever help is required
There was always new opportunities in the work place so there was never a time when i had nothing to do
I was put in charge of projects to manage my own and was given a lot of freedom by my manager
Cummins really cares for its employees and devotes a lot of time towards training both placements and graduates
The Company
Relaxed atmosphere. Easy to integrate with the department and the rest of the office
A good balance between allowing placements to develop their skills and teaching them about how a business operates and what the demands are in their department
Offered both internal and external training to learn about the product and to develop business skills
Flexi Time
Above 25 days holiday
Cummins looks to developing its own employees and leaves a very good opportunity to grow within the business
The Culture
Both placements and colleagues were easy to get a long with and social events took place throughout the year
relatively cheap area to live in with easy bus routes into the town centre
Good night life although there are limited options
few activities to get involved in. most social events were organised through colleagues/placements
