The Role
Overall I really enjoyed my placement at EY in the Forensic Technology and Discovery Services team and Fraud Investigations and Dispute Services department.
Most people within the firm are really friendly
EY is clearly a company which values the personal development of each of it's employees
you are generally kept quite busy, you may occasionally be required to stay an extra few hours to fulfill an urgent client request but that's quite rare.
you are effectively treated like an associate
you will develop a whole range of both professional and personal skills
The Company
The majority of people that I worked with in EY were very friendly and as such there was always a good atmosphere in the office.
The people behind the organisation of the industrial placement seem determined to give the interns a really good impression of the company. From the very first week you'll be given the general plan for the year including when to expect a decision about your future within the firm once your placement year has finished,
EY is a clearly a firm dedicated to the development of it's employees.
Above 25 days holiday
Working from home
Based on my placement year, it seems like a fantastic place to work
The Culture
we initially spent our induction week from all the placement students in the UK and Ireland which included a social activity at the end of most days, many of which were organised and paid for by the firm. At the end of the year we were treated to a "goodbye" party which was a boat ride between Embankment and North Greenwich including a meal and drinks. There were also a few social events purely for placement students throughout the year.
London prices are quite expensive but this was one of the best paying placements at the time that I did it.
You get a magnificent view of tower bridge when it's dark outside
There's a whole host of societies and activities to get involved with
