The Role
I really enjoyed my time on the internship - it was varied and stimulating
This is definitely the best part of EY - the people! I felt respected and valued as though I was a proper full time employee.
I never felt like I couldn't ask any questions and everyone was super friendly and helpful.
It varied depending on the engagement but even on 'quiet' days there's always things to do that are interesting!
I pretty much had as much as I wanted - if you're keen to get stuck in then they will be keen to let you!
Not particularly relevant for my degree but hugely helpful in terms of CV building and aiding my future development.
The Company
Busy but friendly! Everyone always asks if you want a drink and says hi when they arrive. You feel comfortable to ask anyone anything.
I had a schedule set out for me which filled the whole six weeks which was planned in advance. Some of the engagements fell through to unexpected reasons but I feel that I got a realistic picture of what working there would be like so I didn't view it negatively.
I didn't have any exact training but I did pick up a lot of skills that will really help me when starting as a graduate. To be honest it's just one of those things that you need to learn through doing!
