The Role
It was amazing, everybody was super friendly and helpful and the whole team wanted me to succeed. I received support from everybody, from level 1s to Partners, who all tried their very best to get me involved in every piece of work possible.
Their work ethic and how welcoming they were. Everybody at the firm is incredibly driven but without ever aiming to step on anybody else's toes and this helps you as an intern feel like an integral part of the team who really matters.
Everybody gave as much time as they could to aid me in developing as a person. Before I got there I was assigned a buddy and a counsellor who always made sure I was getting on ok and helped me meet more people in the office.
Very but always at a good level. Work was not always given to me straight away but everybody would always be happy to allow me to assist them as long as I asked. It is a place you need to be proactive in but that is never a bad thing!
A lot. By my second week I had already been assigned to two important projects working alongside senior managers as well as always been asked to do simpler tasks which allowed me to develop my knowledge of tax.
I learnt an awful lot about time management whilst with EY as without being on top of everything it would've been very easy to miss some work that needed doing. I also learnt an awful lot about communicating with people which has been incredibly helpful thus far in my final year.
The Company
Proactive and friendly. Everybody always wanted to succeed with everything they were doing but would always be happy to help anybody who needed it.
Very well, I had a strong idea about what I would be doing day to day and I always knew when my deadlines were.
Everybody in the office aimed to spend at least one hour during my internship giving me some one to one training. I was allowed to work in other departments to gain further experience of the firm whenever I wanted to and every time I worked with new people they had organised an intro training session for me to give me a solid background in the department.

Very. I have already accepted a graduate offer.
The Culture
A lunch was organised for the whole department in my first week to get to know everybody. We also went out for drinks after work whenever possible
I'm from up north and I was in London so it was a little bit of a shock at first but I got used to it after a while, it is greatly aided by the higher average wage so proportionally I didn't really notice it.
It was really good, but most of my university friends live in London so that could be a reflection on them being there
Plenty, I trained with a local basketball team a couple of times
