The Role
Really enjoyed the experience, met some great people and really helped in my future career choices.
Felt like I was a valued part of the team straight away. Was usually given real work at am appropriate level and got to work in many different teams.
The setup they have at EY is that everyone has a counsellor who you have regular meetings with throughout your internship. This allows you to ask questions about the career progression and general questions. I am still in contact with them now which is a great bonus.
Can really vary, sometimes there was absolutely no work so I was begging people for work, other times I had load of work to get on with, with challenging deadlines. Usually there was a good balance.
I wasn't given too much responsibility as I was only an intern, but felt I was still valued.
Will help me with time management and definitely helped me pick what type of career I want in the future.
The Company
Really friendly and chilled out atmosphere - but still hardworking. Due to the layout of the office, you sit with the partners, so a really unpretentious atmosphere.
Well organised with plenty of training.
Plenty of training before you start the internship and training on the internship.
