The Role
I did enjoy most of my time at Travis Perkins PLC and I believe I gained a huge amount of experience
I felt valued by some colleagues and others were less friendly
My manager would not often be available but there are always other colleagues around to help
I was extremely busy on a day to day basis
Responsibility was given slower than expected working within the Travis Perkins Team
I didn't receive much training, however i developed my own skills through hard work and dedication and i believe it has given me a much better chance at gaining a better grade in my degree
The Company
It was a busy atmosphere with a lot of personalities
Im afraid it wasn't that well organised and structured. The company put you into a role of being a brand marketing assistant rather than giving you an experience to work for wider teams
The firm don't invest much in training, however they do try and help you develop through regular 1 to 1 meetings with your manager
National Travel
Financial Bonus
They don't offer a graduate scheme so you would have to look for a specific role which opened up within a team
The Culture
No
cost of living is cheap and socialising doesn't cost too much in northampton
Nightclubs in Northampton is shocking but there are a few good bars around
Not many, every once a year, the team may go out for drinks
