The Role
The internship was extremely useful for me to gain a greater insight of the company. EY organise lots of enjoyable social activities which were great for meeting other interns and getting to know colleagues.
My team were very appreciative of me and made sure that I was always busy! They treated me with respect and constantly wanted to ensure that I was getting on okay. They made my internship!
The managers were interested in my preferences and made sure that I had a range of experiences during my time. They would go out of their way to let me try new tasks. I always felt as though I could ask for help if I needed it!
I was happily busy. And if I ever ran out of work, it would not take long for someone to find me something to do!
I was given responsibility of some important tasks towards the end of my internship.
I learnt a lot about excel which I believe is useful in any job! I also feel confident when writing professional e-mails which is an important skill to learn!
The Company
The atmosphere in the office was sometimes quite dull and usually very serious.
For me, it was organised extremely well. The team were prepared for my arrival and my IT training was great!
I guess my team invested in me the most. We didn't really have any service line specific training which I feel could have been useful.
Sports and Social Club
Very appealing. I received a phone call as soon as I left to offer me the job and I will definitely consider it as the training programmes that they offer are great.
The Culture
There were several social events organised for all of the interns although my team did not have as many social events compared to other teams.
Expensive!
Cannot complain
I think if I had gone looking for them, they would have been there, however I didn't really feel that I was that aware of what was available.
