The Role
I loved all my time at Savills.
I felt valued, although as I was not qualified I could not assume as much responsibility as I would have liked.
Management were extremely helpful, as they gave me advice and helped me throughout my time at Savills.
I often came in before 8am and I normally left after 6.30pm. There was never enough time to get all the work done, I loved it.
Not as much as I would have liked, although I did help in creating the reports.
The skills I developed have been extremely useful, as I am currently doing a masters in real estate management. They have made my time at Oxford Brookes a lot more interesting and enjoyable.
The Company
The atmosphere was very positive and although the employees worked hard, they also had a lot of fun too. Great place to work.
The internship was organised very well. Throughout the four week we had a detailed plan of where we had to be each day.
The company helped me develop my knowledge of property and gave the interns various presentations on upcoming projects. My department were also very good at teaching me about new areas of the market.
Sports and Social Club
I hope to get a job with Savills, although in these uncertain times one can never be sure.
The Culture
The social scene was great fun amongst the other placement students. We meet up at least twice a week and had some great nights out in London. It really depended on how much you wanted to get involved with the others on the placement.
Very expensive but still a lot of fun. I managed to break even after my placement, which I thought was a thorough success.
The socialising was good although due to the long hours we did not often go out clubbing.
Yes, I was involved in the Savills hockey team and even scored the odd goal. If I manage to get a job with Savills, I will be joining their hockey team as soon as possible.
