The Role
A very insightful month, working within a great team environment.
Dealing with tenants and helping prepare pitch documents to be used by the Director felt like good, purposeful and valuable work.
Everything was explained clearly and in detail, especially at the end of my placement where the Associate Director ran through exactly what I had covered and what other facets of Property Management I hadn't come across yet.
For the majority of the time I had work to be do. It was especially good as I didn't necessarily have just one task to do at a time, but several, which required prioritisation and time management.
A fair amount-answering the phones and trying to deal with tenant issues, to going on-site and taking notes about the property/surrounding area in question, then reporting back to the Surveyor.
Property Management is a core facet of the Property Industry and the skills that I learnt at Savills have been central to what has been taught so far on my MSc Real Estate Management course.
The Company
Everybody was friendly and willing to help. Department lunches and evening drinks made me feel welcome.
Information pre-internship was very useful and the transition through the internship was brilliant. During the internship the opportunity to attend the various lectures about the areas of the business were especially insightful.
The area of Property Management was explained very clearly to me from the start to the finish, enabling me to have a strong insight into that area of the profession.
Sports and Social Club
I would very strongly like to work for Savills if the opportunity arose.
The Culture
Yes. The organised Pub Quiz with the graduates was good fun and a great way to gain an insight into what life is like as a graduate at Savills.
Relatively expensive due to it being located in the West End of London.
Pretty good. Especially for the local pubs for the post-work drinks.
Played hockey for Savills which was a great way to meet people.
