The Role
I felt that I was given real responsibilities and very challenging tasks to complete, and my team members were very kind and helpful.
The team I was working with was very friendly and extremely help. many of my team members volunteered to teach me useful concepts and methods used in real estate practice.
The feedbacks i got from the team director was very valuable for understanding how I have performed and what side of business suits me best.
Most of the time I am quite occupied which I think is very good.
I conducted independent market research and completed market reports for two cities, which I think was some very rewarding experiences.
The market research skills I developed and the business awareness I built during the placement is certainly very beneficial for my degree work and future career
The Company
we have a group of very sociable and fun people in the team, so despite the fact that people are very busy with their tasks, we had a lot of fun
The scheme was very well organised in general, especially considering the fact that we had a number of talks covering different aspects of real estate practice. However more social events with graduates and fellow interns would have been a plus.
I think I was given sufficient training to complete my tasks, and some extra training to help me to built a fuller picture. I think for a 4 week program, this amount of support was more than anyone could have expected.
Company Parties/Events
under the current market condition, competition for a position in Savills would be fierce, but with the experience I have, I think I am in a relatively good position for getting into the Grad program.
The Culture
most fellow interns were very active people who are willing to take part in company organised, or self organised events
London is quite an expensive place, but you get nice experiences for your money.
