The Role
Everyone was friendly, I learnt a lot about audit and I felt like a was doing 'proper' work which helped the team.
They were all very welcoming. I never felt like I wasn't welcome to going social activities. They always gave good constructive feedback on my work which help me improve the next time.
I had three different people I could contact if I needed to. One was a buddy who was not much older than me. This was great because I could ask her silly things that I may be embarrassed to ask someone more senior. I had a manger who was in charge of my schedule. I had a counsellor who made sure I was achieving what was expected of me and she also ensured I was getting the experience I wanted and achieving my goals.
Some days I was really busy with assigned work and other days I wasn't. Although on the not so busy days I had the opportunity to complete personal projects, like my presentation that I presented on my final day. I was never doing nothing.
I had responsibility to complete my parts of the audit. I feel his was just the right amount and they were always there is guide me if i needed the help. I was never given anything that was unachievable.
The technical audit knowledge will help me in my class and university and give me real life examples to call upon during exams and assignments. I aslo learnt general business etiquette and networking skills that will help me throughout my future career.
The Company
Friendly, welcoming and fun. There were plenty of socials that the interns were invited to.
Very well organised. I only had 2 days out of 6 weeks were I wasn't assigned to a client audit and I used these days to work on my presentation. I always had someone to contact if there was a problem or I needed some guidance. The induction was also very well organised and great fun!
They invested a lot of time and resource in us. We had 4 full days training as part of the internship. Where we were put up in a hotel, had training during the day and social activities at night. They were always very conscious of what we wanted to get out of the internship rather than working us to the bone. They allowed us to explore other service lines to make sure we were happy with the service line we had chosen.

Very! I have already accepted a graduate job with EY.
The Culture
Yes, I attended 3 socials. One was a ball before I even started. They invited me along to get to know the people in the department in advance of starting.
It was fine. I was able to socialise and live comfortably and nothing was too expensive.
It was good. I live in the city I worked so I knew the places to go already.
Yes, some interns had the opportunity to volunteer at the Commonwealth Games. There were also lots of sports teams you could join.
