  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Really well organised internship. Very insightful and enjoyable.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • They all made a real effort to make me feel part of the team as quickly as possible. I always got invited out for lunch or for after work drinks with them.

  • You will get assigned a buddy and a counsellor. Both mine were brilliant and were always willing to answer my questions.

  • The work fluctuated depending on what was going on in the office, but there was always something to be getting on with

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • All the work that I completed was checked by someone else, but I was left to get on with my own work at times.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • As I study accountancy it was really useful to see how to apply various things I have learnt at uni, it has also given me a head start in some of my final year modules.

  • Good atmosphere-everyone worked hard but it was more relaxed than I was expecting

  • Really well organised. I always knew what I had to do or knew who to ask if I didn't.

  • For only being in the office for 6 weeks I was really surprised at how willing my colleagues were to take time to explain their work to me.

  • I got offered a job 2 weeks after my placement ended.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • I got on really well with the other interns and we would regularly try and meet up for dinner and have lunch together most days.

  • I met up with my department on a few occasions but socialised more with the other interns.
