The Role
Found the people really friendly and helpful and enjoyed the experience of working aswell as the social activities around the internship
I was fine work to do to help colleagues when they were busy. The started giving me more responsibility as the internship went on
I was offered a lot of support by people in my team and my counsellor was also very helpful
Level of work changed daily but I think overall there was enough work with only a few periods of less work
I was given multiple tasks on the project as well as tasks to do with the firm and external activities such as team socials
I have learned lots about what work life will be like and how I can fit into it and gained skills such as excel skills and industry knowledge
The Company
I was not in the EY building and was on client site so the atmosphere was not as good as at the office but I got on well with my team so still enjoyed the atmosphere
I think they should try and ensure you get to do at least 2 projects equally incase the first project is not to your liking/ not beneficial
My colleagues did sessions to help understand how to do certain activities and my counsellor gave support on development
Company Parties/Events
I have been offered a graduate job with them and been able to defer my application for a year to travel
The Culture
Yes I went to many socials and various members of the firm had socials for interns as well as the organised ones for the internship
Expensive but that's because it was London but as an intern usually managers etc will help buy drinks etc
Good nightlife but expensive
There are many social clubs you can join such as sports clubs but there wasn't that much time for doing them on the internship
