The Role
It was nice, but the seat I was sat on was a bit boring and monotonous at times. But there were opportunities for me to experience other areas which I enjoyed.
They were all very nice, very approachable and gave me lots of responsibility
My manager would work from home quite a lot, but I managed by asking other colleagues.
This was an issue- lots of twiddling thumbs. But I managed to move around to other areas of the bank, which was nice.
Quite a lot. I was asked to organise meetings with clients and other senior people.
I learned a huge amount, as I said my particular seat was quite monotonous but by moving around the bank I learned huge amounts
The Company
Very friendly, everyone was great. But 9-5 and a bit too relaxed and unchallenging. Great people though.
The decision to give an intern a seat in which I was in was a mistake. It wasn't directly related to banking and was quite boring. Quite frankly, my team didn't need an intern- there wasn't that much to do. If I was placed in other areas, I could've learned more, been more busy and helped colleagues that really needed it.
Pay was good and colleagues took time to explain things to me.
Not for me.
The Culture
Yes, some were organised by the internship team and others amongst ourselves.
City of London- so pretty expensive!
Again, London....
Yes, I did some work raising money for charity.
