The Role
Great experience. Learnt a lot about my service line (Assurance). Met some great people/Everyone was friendly. I was not given much responsibility but I guess that's not that surprising considering we were just interns. But overall, I enjoyed the experience.
Everyone was welcoming and I was given constructive feedback.
People are always willing to help and give you guidance if you seek for it.
There were certain things that needed to be done on most days. On some days, I would be assigned work such as rolling documents forward to the latest template or casting financial statements. The period I was interning for was not busy season so I also had non-busy days where I wasn't doing much.
Not much responsibility was given but as I said above, I guess we were just interns and the summer internship is a good stepping stone to use
Learnt a lot about the business. Gained some good analytical skills/attention to detail through various tasks such as casting financial statements. Did a presentation in the 5th week which also assisted with my communication skills.
The Company
As I said before, everyone is very welcoming and the atmosphere is very relaxed.
Very well organised. We were given clear schedules/timetable for the duration of my 6 week internship. Personally, I was based at the client site for most of the 6 weeks which I expected due to the nature of the Assurance service line.
A lot of time and resources were clearly invested for us. The firm was very consicious of what we wanted out of the internship and the summer internship team did its best to accomodate most of our needs. Also, some great socials in the first week and the final black tie event was awesome.
Flexi Time
Company Parties/Events
It is a great place to work. Everyone is friendly and there seems to be a clear career progression.
The Culture
The socials organised by the firm were great. The pizza making and bowling socials in the first week were very good and the final black tie event was awesome.
London is a great place to hang out on any day or any night. However, it is expensive.
London has a great nightlife. There is so much to do.
There were a few sports team I wanted to join but I spent most of my time at the client site and did not have much time to get involved.
