The Role
I enjoyed every minute of the placement, not only the work but also the people and the general atmosphere within the company. The worwas stimulating and not mundane.
The made me feel an important part of the team and I always felt very welcome and at home in their department.
I mainly recieved work from the recently qualified members of the team, the managers were less invloved, however they were always very supportive if I wanted to shadow them at all.
I was normally always busy, there was always something I could work on.
I was sent out on my own to oversee a building survey on an industrial site, which meant talking to clients with no one their to tell me exactly what to say.
The skills learnt in only 1 month have helped me greatly not only on my course but also in life. I improved my communication and proffessional skills greatly over the four weeks.
The Company
It was a very hard working office, however they was a very nice atmosphere to it all.
Extremely well organised, I never felt out of touch with anything. The events organised outside of work also really helped us settle in.
The extent to which they could invest in us was limited as we were only there for one month. However they certainly kept track of how we were coping with the work and life at the company.
Sports and Social Club
I am determined to get a job with the company after my enjoyable experience with them over the 4 weeks.
The Culture
They organised plenty of events in order for us to meet up and get to know each other, such as rounders and a pub quiz. These events were all highly successful.
London is expensive.
Once again though, quite expensive.
Yes, the rounders match organised between ourselves and some other firms was a great success.
