The Role
Thoroughly enjoyable experience
I was fortunate to be part of a great team who integrated each member with all opinions valued.
Support and guidance was helpful, particularly at first when you are not yet familiar with the role. All team members were approachable and gave support when required - despite busy schedules. My manager was always happy to talk through and explain ideas/concepts
Fluctuations as month ends were always the busiest period. However once I was more familiar with the role I was able to get involved in more areas and try and balance out the teams workload.
Far greater responsibility than I had initially anticipated. Often liaised directly with the director and provided extremely important information on a daily basis. Furthermore, I was trusted to provide information which would directly influence decision-making for the brand and network.
The placement year has helped some of the more boring theoretical work at university more interesting. You are able to relate the theory back to your placement company and see how it fits in the real world. Although the placement was not directly to my degree, the skills developed were extremely broad and bode well for the rest of my career.
The Company
Despite the importance of work carried out the environment in the office was always relaxed and fun.
We were routinely encouraged to book onto training courses which we felt would be beneficial. As an undergraduate I was automatically enrolled to Presentation Skills, Excel, PowerPoint and Time Management courses which were useful for the role but also beyond.

Opportunity to be fast tracked to the graduate scheme and return once your university course has commenced. I would definitely work there again should the right opportunity arise.
The Culture
One of the best things about the placement. With so many other undergraduates around there was rarely a dull weekend.
Not great but always tried to make the most of it.
