The Role
I enjoyed both the tasks I was given to complete and the time spent working with colleagues/other interns. The grad team organised a few training days that I thoroughly enjoyed and learnt a lot from.
I felt very valued and my main project was something that would have a direct impact on the business. In the first few weeks, members of the team I was working with took me out for one-to-one meetings that were designed to help me understand more about what they do in their role in the company. I found this really helpful and it made me feel like part of the team.
My supervisor was very helpful throughout and organised weekly catch up sessions so we talk about my progress. My supervisor saw the internship as an opportunity for me to develop as well as the company getting some value from my time spent working. I also had great support from the grad team whenever there were issues my supervisor couldn't solve.
Most of the time I was working on my main project and this was something I steadily worked on throughout. I wasn't so busy that I couldn't go for impromptu meetings that members of my team thought were useful for me. At the beginning I would say I didn't have quite enough work but this was actually a blessing in a way because I could find my feet first and then when it got busier I was ready for it.
I was given a fair amount of responsibility but I didn't feel like it was overwhelming. Also, I wasn't given tasks that had to be completed daily so there was never that constant pressure.
I spent quite a lot of time designing an app on a cloud platform and so I learnt a bit more about cloud services and developing a product for someone. I think the main thing I learnt is time management and dealing with a 9-5 day instead of working at any time as I used to at university.
The Company
The office atmosphere is very friendly and generally laid-back. each department feels like a team and it was very welcoming.
Very well organised. The accommodation was paid for and provided for us which was great and then throughout the internship there weren't any complications. The grad team organised a few events throughout that helped in my development.
As mentioned before, the grad team organised various events to aid our development. A particularly useful one that stands out is a morning spent learning how to give great presentations. My line manager was very keen that I learnt lots of new skills in the placement too.

I will apply for a job at the company but in a slightly different scheme to the one I was in during the internship. I really liked the culture of the company.
The Culture
I was based in the company head offices and so were a lot of other interns so we all got on really well. The charity challenge the grad team organise helped to increase the bonding as well.
I was based in the Windsor area which is lovely but fairly expensive. Accommodation was free and provided for.
London is fairly nearby but a bit too far for my liking. I didn't really try any of the clubs nearby but the pubs are nice.
There are as many opportunities as you want really - it's up to you.
