The Role
Really friendly relaxed office. Good work and social life.
Considering we go into the business with little or no business experience they are very willing to teach.
Enough support was given to integrate me into the business. However support and guidance does differ from manager to manager.
I found that It was up to me to manage my workload. When I needed extra work I sought it out and there was always work provided.
During my internship my responsibly gradually increased, alongside the skills I had learnt.
In terms of my studies what I do on a day to day basis in the office doesn't relate to my degree. However having this insight into business is invaluable.
The Company
I was in the Slough (Bath Road) office. The office is very modern and very nice. Always something going on in the lobby. Nice that I don't have to wear a full suit everyday.
The scheme is only two years old so there are some areas to be fixed. However nothing that negatively impacted my internship.
Many hours were spent teaching me about the business and also the technical aspects to assist me in my roll.

Working from home
Very, from the internship scheme we are more likely to get accepted onto the post grad scheme. And from here chances are fairly high we could go into full time employment.
The Culture
Very good social life, all the interns and grads very up for organizing social events. Clubbing, dinner cinema ect. Someone at Telefonica also makes a Facebook group and invites all the interns and grads. This assists with finding accommodation and really does help break the ice!
For most the interns rents were typically 400-550 depending on house and area. Often went to Maidenhead and Windsor, a mixture of cheaper and more expensive places.
Nightlife in Slough is non existent. However Maidenhead, Windsor are all accessible by train, and as you will probably be living with a few people splitting taxi's often only cost us a few quid. Also Reading is only a short train ride away. Nights out in London are also possible as the train from Slough to Paddington is very good.
Very much so, read above.
