The Role
In the beginning i didn't like it much as it was very different from uni - where if you couldn't wake up, you could just miss your lecture. it was very hard getting up and going into work Every singe day!!! but after i got used to it, i loved it!!! best decision i have ever made- with uni even on your days off, you're stressed about work, whereas when you finish work, you can properly relax as you don't have to think about work again
The work culture is really good at UBS, everyone is so friendly! the best thing i liked about it was the fact i wasn't treated like an intern- i was actually treated like a full time employee which was nice
Our manager would regularly hold meetings for feedback and to catch up which was good and also questions were extensively encouraged which was good
it depends- during certain times of the week/month/year, it wasn't too bad. whereas sometimes it got very busy so was rather tiring- but it was good as it made the day go faster
a lot! i was made responsible for many important reports which went out to senior people within the company which was good
definitely the best thing i have ever done! i've definitely learnt how to manage my time better!
The Company
it was serious at times, but everyone had a laugh during times too which was nice as it made it less boring
it was good as when i started there was the old intern there for a few weeks to help train me
it was good- on the job training. but i would have liked some external training maybe in excel or if ubs would sponsor me to do external exams
easier to get on the grad scheme with a placement year
The Culture
the interns were all very close and there was regular lunches/drinks/social events
expensive because it's london but wasn't too bad
good, many places around
