The Role
I enjoyed it very much, the staff are very freindly over here and if you're looking for process engineering this is an amazing place to be. With a huge factory with many different chemical processes accuring and a lot of individual process steps, ther are constantly a lot of projects going on for yo uto get invovled with and a lot of industry exposure.
They value you greatly here, I have taken over a project which I am in charge if, with one to one guidance from my mentor I get to make a lot of changes to the factory and save the company a lot of money.
My manager has given me a lot of one to one focus, we have weekly meetings discussing all my projects and also my futrue life ambitions. Your manager is always willing to help and goes out of there way to make sure you are comfortable and have the right workload.
I have been very busy, there is always something to do on the factory and its's easy to get yourself stuck in. My project work has kept me very busy as it entails data collecting and analysing and then coming up with solutions to optimise the process and ultimately save the company money. You can see that this all keeps anyone busy all year round
A lot of responsibility, i had to assist my manager in some key projetcts and have got to own a project of my own. These projects are given to students where they see real money saving potential so they expect results from you.
I have gained a lot of industry related skills, these incluse people skills and team working skills. I have learnt how to work woth different people from different backgrounds all to achieve the same goal. Overall, I have been able to understand how a plant is run, control procedures make a lot more sense to me and I can definitely take this further for future jobs and also my degree.
The Company
Very friendly, everyone is eager to help out and willing to go out of there way. People are very passionate here, they all want to helo and make a difference which inspires you to want to do well. Everyone is very friendly and enthusiastic
Very well structured, one main project for you to take control of and a lot of other projects for you to assist on.
They gave me a lot of responsibility and my manager is constantly teaching me new things. I think they have invested a lot in me.
