The Role
Most colleagues treat you as a real employee.
Support was available when requested.
This was very changeable, some days are very busy and others not so. I think this all depends on your project/role.
Opportunities to learn and develop yourself for your future are fantastic, for your degree, to some extent.
The Company
Atmosphere at the start of my placement was not as good as it is now. We have moved into an open-plan style office and the atmosphere now is much better than before.
This placement is well set up by the UK.
The Culture
Accommodation prices are fairly high, however cost of living and socialising is fairly cheap. It all depends on where you go.
There's something for everyone - the city has a lot to offer.
Unfortunately there are not many activities outside of work. If you are based in the UK, there is a lot more on offer and it's a shame that this is not the case at every Verizon office.
