The Role
The work was very engaging and challenging. The project assigned involved constant work
The project assigned was an important one, in line with strategic objectives. There were VPs who were key stakholders in the projects.
My line manager was very friendly and motivating person. He taught me a lot of nuances about people management that assisted in my project execution. He gave me sufficient freedom to make decisions and implement them.
The project involved stakeholder management that is all round work. The timeline allocated was sufficient to work with. The working hours are quite convenient
There was a lot of freedom to make decisions and implement them on a daily basis. The line manager was more of an advisor and mentor than a supervisor.
Provided with applied experience to Operations management, change management and Strategy implementation. Also learnt many nuances of people management under the guidance of my line manager
The Company
The office was fun. The people are really friendly and outgoing in helping you adjust. They are willing to share their insights without being overbearing in the way you work.
The first week goes in setting up with the necessary tools and infrastructure. The line manager takes lead on getting you up and functioning as soon as possible.
There are plenty of training opportunities that are assigned based upon project requirement and you can self assign with proper reasoning and undergo the training sponsored by the company

I look forward to working with them in future. There is a great graduate program that provides a great training and career growth.
The Culture
The fellow interns are very social and it is fun to hang out with them. There are plenty of social events organized in certain locations of UK, where the numbers are large enough.
The cost of living in Sunderland was pretty lower than London/Paris standards. The stipend provided was more than enough to lead a comfortable life covering also my travel expenses.
During summer the night life is not that great, as the universities are closed. The interns get together for going out and partying in the nights.
There are a lot of social and sporting events to socialize outside work. The work timings are quite good to engage with other activities with people in the town.
