About You
I enjoyed working with the great people at Midlands Campus and had some tasks of relative responsibility.
Nearly everyone who could have talked to me did and the team even signed me a card wishing me luck in my PhD.
Unfortunately the two colleagues who I was working for did go on holiday during the placement but that must be expected at that time of year. I received enough guidance from others who could help in the meantime,
Most of the skills I learn on this placement were soft skills such as developing interpersonal relationships and dealing with pressures of responsibility.
The Company
The insight was well planned but due to the holidays of the supervisors it was left open ended so I had to pass on unfinished work to another colleague.
I loved working for ARUP, I think it is a fantastic company to work for.
I was left alone for much of the time to complete the work set. It was not taxing so did not require specific training.
I am sure after 3 placements with ARUP I have a great idea of how it would be to work there.
I was already well aware of the company culture from previous experiences
This particular insight did not change my thinking in terms of career path.
Everything Else
I was paid very well for my work
Not at this placement but I have had great experiences with this last year.
I developed a good number of friends at the social events
Yes the activities were well advertised on noticeboards and the intranet
Yes and I have done so already
