The Role
It was great experience which I have gained a lot of skills from
Always willing to help me out if I was stuck, give advice or set up work shadowing to help me know where I want to work within the company.
Had weekly 1:1s with manager where I gained lots of feedback which really helps to know where you stand and what you need to improve on. Work shadowing sessions can also give you guidance and tips from people who have been in your position
Good balance most of the time. First two weeks were quite slow as I was doing a lot of training and learning the basics but work definitely picked up as weeks went on.
I was responsible for building an application for my team.
Learnt completely new programming skills as well as focus on developing presentation and networking skills
The Company
Everyone is friendly and willing to help
Very well organised - a good mix of work and presentations and events to help interns understand the company better.
They invest a lot in their interns
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
I got offered a graduate job.
The Culture
A lot of interns were already from the london area so didn't want to go out as much or already knew people in the area. Went out a few times with interns but would have like to have did it more.
It's expensive but the salary covers it. It just depends how you manage your money.
Great nightlife the only flaws are expensive and hard to get home if you stay far away from where the club is and the tubes are off for the night.
