The Role
I really enjoyed my placement year, due to the large number of placements and graduate at site, there was a good sense of community between us which made it easier to settle in to a new area and experience.
From day one I was treated like any other full time employee and given great responsibility, which my opinions being valued.
I gained a large amount of support from my team in general, as it was a small team we could support each other with any issues and this guidance was very valuable.
I was very busy on a daily basis, I think this was as I was in a busy department. There wasn't the expectation that you would be very busy, but I looked for opportunities which added to my workload.
I was given responsibility for a large range of things and given the opportunity to do as much as I felt I could.
Full placement student training programme, specific to introducing you into the working environment and developing necessary skills, as well as role specific training.
The Company
I worked in a small team but I really enjoyed working in the office, I thought the atmosphere was great. The placement year really imporved my confidence as you get to know most people at site and feel as if you can talk to anyone.
It was very well organised, from induction, through training and supporting reviews through the year.
I was given training specific to placement students, as well as role specific training.

It was normal pricewise, rent was a bargain, however going out was around normal price.
I would say that the nightlife was what you made of it. I had some great nights out.
Yes, there were a few activities such as football, cricket, badminton and the sports and social club.
