The Role
The most valuable insight I could get - made me convinced about going into banking.
On a weekly basis or whenever I had some tough decision to make.
The beginning was a bit slow due to company procedures, but after that, there was always something I could work on. Business helped me learn more.
Quite a lot - I was working on actual data streams that will be used by the company assessing risk of their counterparties.
As I could finally see the theory being put into practice, it will be much easier to put the pieces together during coming lectures.
The Company
There was something happening almost all the time. Very vibrant compared to other IT offices I have been to.
Timely announcements, interesting sessions, plenty of room to network.
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Very appealing - I am trying to take courses now that are suited to my future roles.
The Culture
We would hang out every Friday after work and many times during weekends as well.
I would say normal for London.
As stated previously, Fridays were great - didn't feel like it would be fair to my company to have active nightlife during the week.
Plenty - communities of practice, sporting "societies", volunteering, etc.
