The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed the whole 10 week summer internship.
Even though the team that I was apart of underwent a number of changes throughout my summer internship, I was given plenty of support along the way undertaking real work.
Plenty of support and guidance was given and offered to me by my manager, buddy and senior mentor as well as other from other work colleagues.
Towards the beginning and end of the summer internship the quantity of work did subside but this was expected due to the short duration that I was with the company and should not be reflected negatively.
I was given plenty of responsibility throughout the 10 weeks on a number of projects within my team, driving forward on a number of initiatives.
The skills that I further developed within the summer internship will definitely be of assistance in my last year of university and beyond, in particular my confidence, presentation skills and ability to think holistically about problems.
The Company
General atmosphere was excellent with a real focus on working as a team.
Very well organised with plenty of events throughout.
Due to the short nature of my 10 week summer internship the amount of training was limited to being on he job.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Very appealing, I have been offered a place on their graduate program.
The Culture
Yes, there were a number of events throughout the placement that were very well attended by fellow interns.
I commuted from home in Essex so cannot comment on the cost of living in London, but general commuting into London is rather expensive.
Average
A number of opportunities.
