The Role
I really enjoyed my internship at EY, it was well organised and I always felt I had the support I needed. I was placed on a project straight away and was given a fair amount of responsibility from my team which allowed me to learn a lot from my time there.
I had a great project team who went out of their way to explain concepts and work to me. I never felt I was alone as whenever I had questions, they were happy to help. I was often invited to team socials which were really enjoyable and allowed me to get to know everyone really well.
On the internship I had a buddy and a counsellor who I spoke to often. I met with my counsellor pretty much every week to discuss my goals and to see how things were going which was a great support.
It definitely varied but as the internship went on I was given more and more responsibility so the days got longer but I never felt I was too busy.
Quite a bit as I was working on a client deliverable by myself, but my team often reviewed it and would point me in the right direction if needed.
I learnt a huge amount from my internship and developed skills which I have used since. I was so grateful for all the training and support I received and the internship showed me how friendly EY's culture is.
The Company
Friendly but busy
Really organised. We had a week long induction where we had socials most nights which was a great chance to get to know the other interns really well.
The induction involved a fair bit of training but most of the training was done on the job. My team were always keen for me to understand all of the work I was asked to do and more.
Company Parties/Events
Very appealing - really happy I got a job offer from them!
The Culture
The interns were all great, we had a few organised socials and a ball at the end of the internship which was a great night! We organised drinks a fair few times as well.
London is of course expensive
Great nightlife in London
We did a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) day in the induction week
