The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed this work placement. I was in london for 2 weeks and exeter for 3. I moved to the residential department whilst in london which was a great experience.
I have worked at JLL for the past two summer. Having worked in Exeter for the last 2 summers i have got to know the team very well and they were very supported and friendly to me.
I was given great support by both supervisors and management
Whilst in London i was busy every day and in Exeter i was helping them work on a live project which meant i was very busy
Having worked in Exeter for the past two summers, this summer i was given responsibility because i helped them work on a live project with their clients. Whilst in london it was more about getting a feeling of what the residential department was like and what projects they work on etc.
My degree is not property but some of the skills i learnt e.g. work to timeframes etc is useful for university
The Company
More lively in london because the office was much bigger however being in smaller office in exeter enabled you to get to know employees more
Really well organised
I was on a 5 week work experience / placement so the more effort i put in the more i got out of it
Working from home
i would love to work for JLL i have applied for their graduate scheme
The Culture
I was not introduced to many students because i was moving locations etc however the social scene with the colleagues was great,
London was very expensive because the office is based just off regents street but exeter was a bit better
In london great, in Exeter a bit quieter
Yes, sports and socialising after work
