The Role
Fantastic team to work with, stressful at times but enjoyed every minute.
Fellow brand ambassadors were very helpful, both during the scheme and as contacts afterwards. We have all kept in touch and met up, and at the time shared tips on our campaigns.
Our campaign leader and the graduate recruitment team at Linklaters were always on hand and more than helpful - they answered all queries promptly and provided tips on how to improve regularly.
Some months - such as October - were busier than others, however I do not feel the placement interfered with my studies and most days I would just devote an hour or so to campaign management in the evening.
My responsibilities included ensuring awareness and applications from the University for all of Linklaters schemes, and getting attendance for the networking event.
I learned some very important skills which have been invaluable in job applications, mainly teamwork, time management and leadership, as well as public speaking and one-on-one communication from talking with students.
The Company
The training days were great fun, a lovely group of people and a pleasure to work with.
Very well - I was aware of all my key dates, my roles and responsibilities, the number of hours I had to do every week and what I had to spend them on. The Friday report was a useful way to keep on top of everything.
We received quite a bit of training when we were at Linklaters office in London, including training on the legal market, networking and professional communication.

I would highly recommend working for the company, and would happily work for them again in the future.
The Culture
Yes, we have all kept in touch and will be studying in London together in the coming years - an excellent way to make contacts and create a network.
It was very handy being able to live at home (albeit a student home) and have a part time job at the same time. All travel costs were reimbursed so travelling to London was just a bonus at times! All training days were well scheduled to not interrupt studies.
Again, it was handy being able to work from home, however whenever we travelled down to London, most of the students would go out for drinks or a meal afterwards.
Most opportunities were limited to your campaign on your campus, however the team did reach out for volunteers for additional campaigns, however these were mostly in London. It was up to students to use their initiatives and promote Linklaters in ways which were not set out in the campaign.
