The Role
Didn't know what to expect from the Insight, but it was really helpful that we got to talk to a broad range of people involved in the company to gain better knowledge
The group had around 50 people, but the staff made a lot of effort to get to know everyone, and encouraged team bonding
There were a lot of different people to talk to, and we were able to ask any questions we wanted
There was the perfect balance between work, both assessed and non-assessed activities, and time to get to know others
We worked mainly in teams for the assessments, we have responsibility to get things done...but as it wasn't a full internship the extent of what we were doing was limited
I felt that I have improved greatly in terms of my interpersonal skills, as well as gaining a better knowledge of the accounting field
The Company
The staff running the programme were fun and joined in the activities that they could
Everything was self-contained in the grounds, and PwC even thought about the transport problems and offered accommodation for the night previous to the starting date
We were given a lot of opportunities to meet and work with different people. They gave us advice and comprehensive feedback afterwards
Sports and Social Club
I have got a 6 week internship with them next summer
The Culture
We were constantly changing the groups that we worked in during the week, and have one assignment that we have a fixed group for, and worked with them at least once a day. They also encouraged us to all meet in the bar each night and relax
Everything was paid for
It was a hotel in the middle of the countryside outside london, but the activities that were arranged compensated for that
Social events at night
