The Role
Very informative, steep learning curve but got a very good understanding of what the job was about.
I was given genuine work to do and was made to feel part of the team from the start.i made a lot of friends within the department too which was a nice surprise - it wasnt just with my colleagues starting the svs
I was allocated a buddy who was very helpful, always quick to answer emails and really helped with preparing for the partner interview. i cant fault the help and guidance provided
I was very busy every day completing work, i always worked my full hours and sometimes a little bit extra. this was similar to everyone else who was working with me although they were older
I was given the same work areas as the older people who were full time normal staff. so obviously i had a lot of responsibility and was expected to do a good job
Learned valuable skills and helps my degree in terms of returning to university with a clear aim of where my career is going. I was offered a graduate job after the scheme which takes the pressure off and I can focus on my studies.
The Company
Great -everyone was friendly yet professional and willing to help.
The comms before the placement were excellent and made me aware of everything i needed to know. The set up of the placement itself was also very good, as i was never short of work or doing nothing
A lot! training towards qualifications and a lot of traiinng while in work too, most of this i think is relevant of you return to work for the company again after uni

The Culture
Yes - everyone liked to go out and socialise, from all levels of the firm. occasioinally we would stay out late and fridays were always a celebration!
London so expensive
Excellent. there are tried and tested bars near the office and you would never run out of places to go, there are so many options and some good restaurants too.
Yes -there is a huge range on offer at Deloitte. there are also groups and networks you can join and i looked these up on the deloitte internet, i could see a lot of opportunities to do more outside of work
