The Role
It was an invaluable experience, I learnt a lot and was able to build strong relationship with clients and colleagues.
My colleagues were very friendly and approachable. There were also many social events taking place during my internship so I got to know many people out of the office and never felt left out.
I was given informal training since my very first day, then continually learn on-the-job. My in-charges were most dedicated and have given me some of the best advices.
Some days were busier than others. However I was never at a point where there were too much work that I am overwhelmed.
I was able to communicate directly with clients, which was an amazing opportunity to have a hands on experience and directly deal with any issues that arose without having to distract my colleagues from their work.
I learnt a great deal about accounting systems, financial reporting and how businesses in different sectors operate.
The Company
It was very relaxed but professional.
Very well. I was given a day of networking and technical training in London, then straight to the client's office.
The company provided thorough formal and informal training throughout my internship. KPMG created an engaging environment that encourages people to think for themselves and make an impact.
