The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my internship experince. I was given real client work to do and felt supported throughout. Infact, I had such an enjoyeable and insightful time that I extended my internship right up until I returned to University.
In all the offices I worked in my colleagues were friendly and supportive. When colleauges assigned work for me to do they were always happy to take the time to fully explain the project and answer any questions I had, ensuring that I not only completed the work but gained a greater understanding of the field I was working in.
The management were supportive throughout. Several senior members of staff were happy for me to shadow them to meetings and their doors were always open for me to ask them any questions I had.
Throughout the vast majority of my internship I had the perfect amount of work. The only time I had less to do was for odd afternoon during my first week but when I made my manager aware of this she found a project for me to get involved with.
I was very happy with the amount of responsibility I had. I was working on real work for clients throughout my internship, but all of my work was checked so I never felt a too stronger burden of responsibility.
I have been able to apply the skills I learnt now I am back at University, particulaly those I learnt in time management.
The Company
The office atmosphere was friendly and relaxed while always maintaining a high level of professionalism.
The organisation was fantastic, particulaly during the recruitment process. PwC were the fastest to respond to enquires and I recieved all the necessary information well in advance.
Members of staff at every level were prepared to spend time talking me through the work I was doing and the wider principles of the industry. In addition I attended a development day specifically for the interns and was involved in a area-wide competition.

I have received and accepted a job offer from PwC.
The Culture
I was involved with several social events both with fellow placement students and colleagues. These inculded evening events, lunches, BBQs and team days out.
When I was in London socialising was expensive, which was not a surprise. However PwC covered the costs of several of the social events to help ease the burden.
There was a lively nightlife on offer where I was working and spending time with colleagues outside of the office was an important part of my experience.
I was given opportunites to get involved with staff days out, charity projects as well as always being invited to out of work events by colleagues.
